EASY WAYS TO GET BACKGROUND AND CURRENT INFORMATION ON SOMEONE

 Have you ever wondered exactly what yor babysitter, boyfriends/girlfriends, or other people have in their history?  Do they have a record, are they licensed, and are they telling me the truth are questions we should have answers to when considering someone for employment, a relationship, and yes even as to who's house your kids can play at.  I used to work as a repo agent and gained access to many wonderful resources, that not only benefitted me in my work, but my personal life as well.  Especially, when it comes to leaving your child(ren) in the care of an individual.  you'll want to know as much as you can about them.  Here's how to find what you need.

It's as simple as turning on the computer and typing in a name.  Yes, some of these do require payment but some are pretty affordable.  There is an online search engine named www.publicdata.com, and it's cheap.  On there you can run criminal history checks, drivers license checks, registered sex offenders, and many other things.  I currently pay $21.60 a month for 500 searches.  This is a great way to get what you need in a hurry and all you need is a first and last name.  I actually used this to run background checks on people I interviewed to care for my children.  I was shocked and appalled at the results, but thankful for them.  It's also a great way to find people you lost contact with through the years.

Another resource many people aren't even aware of, is county records.  All are accessable online.  There you can find marriage licenses and divorce decrees.  You can find out if someone has been sued, find DBA(doing business as) info, and land records.  Lets say, you are trying to see if a company in your area is legit.  You can check your county records to see their DBA, find out who the owner is, what kind of company it's registered as, and whether or not they have been sued.  In addition to this, you can even find child support information.  Whether or not someone has being keeping current on it or if the courts are taking action due to a lack of payment.  This is useful to parents who might be looking into filing for support against someone who may possibly have other children. 

Also if you're looking to find someone you might have just lost contact with over the years, looking to check a phone number, or find out who someone has previously lived with, here's a couple more sites.  There's www.zabasearch.com, which will give you a list of previous addresses and phone numbers to someone.  This site is absolutely free as long as you don't try a background check.  Another great site, is www.netdetective.com.  On this site, you can access many of the same things as above including ssn verification, land and property value records, relatives to someone, current income brackets, etc...  With this site you can either go with a basic plan or upgrade to the plan with all the features. 

There's also some sites that will charge you on a per search.  These sites will be quite a bit costlier than the others but will give you great results for the money.  There's one called www.intelius.com.   Great results, but again it can be very expensive.  You can also go to www.whitepages.com and search for people by name, reverse address, and reverse phone numbers.  Basically if you want to know who  has this number you can just put in the number and it will give you the results.  Same thing for the address. 

By writing this blog, I am not trying to advertise these sites, nor am I encouraging anyone to abuse them either.  This is to help people find out the information they need to help them make wise decisions when it comes to employing someone, doing business with someone, dating someone, etc...  I hope that this will help someone, since I know many people are unaware of the sites readily available to the public.  You can also google words like background checks, search engine, free searches, etc... to view other websites who offer these services.  So I wish you all the best of luck.
